Linda Beaumont designs and invents, combining
traditional architectural materials with a personal vision
to transform public space into an emotive and evocative place.
She considers scale, color, and the sense of hand to be critical
to the power of Place. She collaborates with other artists
and fabricators, and works with architects and engineers to
create this large-scale work. Inventing within both the technical
and aesthetic realms, the arts creates work that is site specific
and visually intimate, creating a private space within the
public place.
Her recent public artworks include "Faith"
the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at the Chapel of St. Ignatius,
Seattle University, "Full Circle," the Harborview
Medical Center Lobby Floor, "The Tempest" and the
"Compass Rose" at Safeco Field, "Water Tables,"
"Rare Books" and "Chorus Hall at UW Bothell
Campus, and "Dreamboats of Eastlake" in Seattle.
