My artistic work is a synthesis of material
properties, archetypal form, function and durability, refined
over 40 years of creative construction. Some of my favorite
materials are wood, steel, stone, ferro-cement and stucco.
A fascination with natural geometric form, optimizing the
inherent aesthetic and structural potential of the materials
used, and whimiscal application of functionality are characteristic
of my work. I enjoy the technical challenges of satisfying
diverse aesthetic and functional requirements in elegantly
simple attunement with the taste and vision of the client.
I like to balance extremes, such as combining the harmonic
crystal relationships of the elemental world with fluid stucco
form set in natural log and pole framework and soft natural
settings.
I strive for carefree functionality, longevity,
comfort and convenience. A ferro-cement foundation, planter
box, playground climber or pond never rots, only needs an
occasional scrubbing for renewal. Tig-welded stainless steel
never rusts. Sone properly morared lasts 7 generations. Stucco
and plastor colored with permanent oxide colors never need
painting.

I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
