Georgia Gerber is known throughout the Northwest
and beyond for her fine art sculptures, and in particular
her many large scale public installations. Georgia operates
her own studio and foundry on South Whidbey with her husband
Randy Hudson and assistant artisans Virginia Keck and Valerie
Keller. The combined talents of this crew include expertise
in sculpting, mold making, bronze casting, metal finishing,
and patina application. Primarily engaged in art sculpture,
Georgia and her assistants occasionally create custom bronze
castings of more functional design. From cabinet pulls and
doorknockers to decorative post and beam brackets, the possibilities
for incorporating artistic design in utilitarian bronze objects
are endless. It is also possible to create custom or reproduction
castings in other materials such as plaster or various resins.
All work is done on a collaborative basis with the customer.
With control of the entire process, very quick turn around
is often possible.
