Chad Martin

I am the owner of a small woodworking studio dedicated to creating heirloom quality furniture and cabinetry designed to last for generations. My designs seek to capture the practical functionality of the Shakers of late 19th century America, with the Asian influences of our Pacific Rim neighbors. Clean lines, gentle curves, subtle details, a careful compromise between form and function. Furniture and cabinetry timeless in appeal, yet contemporary in fashion, at home in any setting.

I strive to use only the finest materials in the pieces I create, choosing solid hardwoods by hand so that joints are seamless with matching grain patterns, or spectacular with contrasting woods chosen to emphasize the wood’s natural figure. Whenever possible I use materials that are sensitive to our fragile environment, and strive to work with suppliers that share this same ethic.

My vision is to create quality furniture and cabinetry that is uncompromising in its design and construction.
