I am a self-taught furniture designer and woodworker.
I have worked with wood for 30 years fueled by a deep respect
and love for the innate beauty of natural wood. I primarily
use sustain ably harvested wood and always hand-rub up to
(and sometimes exceeding) 40 coats of natural oil. My style
is based on a fluidity of line and my ability to “see” the
wood. I also collaborate with clients to create a design
that expresses who they are. The majority of my work graces
homes in Malibu, Beverly Hills, California and Washington
and include wardrobes, beds, dinning tables, and end tables,
entertainment centers, buffets, china cabinets, tea cabinets
etc.
My design work has been inspired by James Krenov,
Sam Maloof, Greene & Greene, Antonio Gaudi, J. Perry, William Dale
Branthey and nature. Attention to fine hand carved detail
is a hallmark of the style and workmanship. I use real veneer
to give more versatility of design utilizing the beauty of
the natural wood.
